Job Summary

Anglowealth is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Advisor to provide comprehensive legal support across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting strategic business operations through sound legal guidance.

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and possesses strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • Admitted Attorney or Advocate in South Africa (preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant legal experience
  • Strong knowledge of South African legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal documentation systems

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to management and internal departments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Identify and manage legal risks while implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with external attorneys, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Assist with dispute resolution and litigation matters
  • Develop, review, and maintain company legal policies and procedures
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal opinions where required

Advantageous

  • Experience in corporate and commercial law
  • Knowledge of labour law, compliance, or financial services regulation
  • Previous experience working as an in-house legal advisor
  • Postgraduate legal qualification or compliance certification
