One of the top producers of equipment for the food and beverage industries is Qualipak (Pty) Ltd., a mechanical design engineer. To join our vibrant team, we are seeking a driven and meticulous Mechanical Design Engineer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Create layout drawings for the manufacturing facilities of your clients.
- Create effective and economical designs with an emphasis on accuracy, practicality, and simplicity.
- Assemble assemblies and comprehensive manufacturing drawings in compliance with accepted engineering standards.
- Create technical manuals, production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and part specifications.
- Make changes and keep manufacturing drawings, material lists, and machine manuals current.
- Take measurements on-site as needed.
- Oversee project administration and design documentation.
- Assist on-site technicians and offer technical support throughout manufacturing processes.
SUITABILITIES & SKILLS
- Mechanical engineering diploma (or an equivalent degree)
- Experience with SolidWorks (2D & 3D) and AutoCAD proficiency will be a big plus.
- Excellent deadline management abilities combined with strong planning skills
- Strict attention to detail and a dedication to excellence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset
- Proficiency in both autonomous and cooperative teamwork

Reimbursement
