At our Century City office, we are looking for a skilled and motivated CAD technician to join our team. The chosen applicant will be in charge of conducting independent site inspections throughout the Cape Town area and creating comprehensive technical drawings. You will work across disciplines of architectural, structural, and civil engineering, interact with clients and coworkers with assurance, and use your 3D scanning abilities to produce excellent results.
ESSENTIAL DEMANDS
● Living in Cape Town
Relocation support was not given. Applicants must be Cape Town residents already.
● Skilled CAD Specialist
It is necessary to provide documentation of your official CAD Technician certification.
● A current driver’s licenceense
It is required to have a current South African driver’s license.
● Self-owned car
For the purpose of traveling to the sites, applicants must own a car. Reimbursement will be given for travel expenses.
● Experience of at least three years
You must have at least three years of relevant work experience.
● Developing industry expertise
must have expertise in the construction industry and be able to independently conduct site inspections.
Knowledge of multiple disciplines
It is necessary to have a working knowledge of structural engineering, civil engineering, and architectural services.
● 3D scanning knowledge
It is crucial to have both demonstrated expertise and real-world 3D scanning experience.
● Presentation and communication skills
Both on-site and in an office setting, the candidate must always present themselves well and be able to interact with clients, consultants, and colleagues from various disciplines with confidence.
● Location of the office
The candidate’s commute to our Century City office must be comfortable. There is no company transportation.

Preference will be given to applicants who are registered with either the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

Please be aware that there won’t be a company car. For site visits, candidates must use their own vehicles; however, the company will pay for all reasonable travel costs.
