Full job description

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum BTech in Architecture
  • Minimum 2 years in the Architectural Environment.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Competency with the Drafting Software’s (ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Corel Draw, Photoshop,

AutoCAD, and Revit).

CORE DUTIES

  • Using a variety of software packages, such as ArchiCAD, Photoshop, Corel draw,

SketchUp, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Power point, etc; Develop Architectural concepts

from stage 2 to stage 4.2,

  • Examine building codes by-laws, space requirements, site requirements, and other

technical documentations,

  • Follow building regulations and other legal requirements when drafting,
  • Select the best materials and processes for the projects documentations,
  • Analyse Architectural plans and drawings, highlighting any possible risks or problems and

making amendments on those specific projects,

  • Specifying the appropriate technology and tools to be used in the project and advising

where this requires deviation from the initial design plans, liaising with the architect at all

times,

  • Prepare documentation for Council approval and visit sites to inspect progress of works,
  • Assist in Project coordinator and value engineering and or consultant coordination,
  • Prepare construction documentation,
  • Preparation and coordination of contract documentation and or administration,
  • As-built documentation and project close out

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R13 000,00 – R17 000,00 per month
