What You Will Do
- Take full ownership of the lifecycle of stamping assets and ensure operational excellence in the toolroom
- Lead, coach and mentor the Tool & Die team
- Establish and maintain robust maintenance standards for tooling
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for die sets to maximise output and minimise downtime
- Investigate and resolve dimensional and surface-quality issues together with the Quality and Production teams, using root-cause analysis
- Uphold safety standards, the Quality Operating System and 5S workplace organisation
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, plus a Tool & Die trade qualification
- 10 years’ experience in automotive stamping, including 5 years working with skin panels / Class A surfaces
- Experience managing a team of 20 or more people
